Security Federal Savings and Loan Association (Columbia, S.C.) collection, 1923-1991.

Chiefly news clippings, photographs, financial reports, and miscellaneous printed items documenting the history and operation of Security Federal Savings and Loan Association from its charter in 1923 until it was dissolved in 1991, including the construction and opening of the downtown Columbia, S.C., headquarters and branch locations on Forest Drive, Broad River Road, and Knox Abbott Drive. Also includes specimen ledger cards, savings passbooks, memorabilia from the fortieth and fiftieth anniversaries, and printed programs from ceremonies at which portraits by Everett Raymond Kinstler of Security Federal officers James Henry Hammond, Herbert Jerome Williams, William Hatcher Jones were unveiled. Photographs include views, chiefly 1950s-1960s, of exterior and interior views of buildings, offices, employees, customers, etc., including exterior views of downtown office space, and views of the Forest Acres branch.
